Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.
Worse, Meghan’s own fey powers have been cut off. She’s stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can’t help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

I am so addicted! The Iron Daughter flew by really quick, I would almost be convinced I hadn’t read it if it hadn’t been for the emotional roller-coaster ride.

I was more connected to the characters this time around. I also really liked a character I wouldn’t have dreamed I would like (and they turned out to be awesome). At one point I even cried and I teared up in a whole lot of places as well. This book really played with my poor emotions and I’m glad, because it just goes to show how much I like the story and cast (my favourite is still Cait Sith and Puck).

Last time I took back what I said about disliking Meghan, but…Meghan has got to shape up. She was so whiny! It was like her own pity party throughout the story and I just wanted to strangle her! Get over it already or do something about it! Ash had his pitiful moments as well and I felt like encasing him in ice and letting him stew! In the end, Meghan stepped up and displayed how awesome she really is. Yes, I like and dislike her (and Ash) and I can almost forget about her whininess…almost.

That ending though! I did not see that coming and I applaud them for finally stepping up. *cue applause* Now I’m extremely curious to see what happen in book 3! If this one is even better than the first, I can only imagine how The Iron Queen will be!

Bring on the iron fey!
